If you can drive south to Oliver (45 mins at the most) I'd fish Vaseaux Lake. You cant miss it it right beside the highway after you pass through Okanagan Falls.

Its considered one of the best fishing lakes in canada for Bass.... Wicked fun on the fly too.

I was there this past summer. It was great

Thank for the tips! I know Vassaeu because I used top lice in Oliver, bout ten minitues away.

You really nead a boat.If you have one make the drive to the provincial camp sites between summerland and peachland.Cross the lake and head towards rattlesnake island fish aprox 100 to 200 feet off shore with apex teaspoons flatfish and you cant go wrong and of course if you dont mind having the gear on you cant go wrong with a willow leaf weight will depend on time of day etc.the launch is located at the south campground good luck.

do you have a boat? I live in Penticton and do quite a lot of fishing in the area. I fish many lakes behind Summerland and quite a few off of the Coquihala Connector. It is getting late in the year but fishing is still good. And it is almost time for ice fishing if it is not already!

I tried fishing vaseaux lake last summer and had little sucess where about are they and can you get to them with out a boat?

Your best chance without a boat is straight off of the highway. There is one corner that gets fished quite often, but amazingly still produces good sized fish! Last summer, I would have my parents drop me off with a bud and we would slay them for hours.

the place you have circled on vaseux lake is that for trout or bass I would be interested to know where I can find some good Bass fishing from shore.

mcs

Bass. Both large mouth and smallies. There are few if any trout in Vaseux. However, there a some kokanee, not too many though. I've caught 4lb bass off of that edge on the shore. It's right off of the highway.
