Author Topic: Propane campfires

With last years campfire bans, I was jealous to see other campers with artificial ,propane fires.I plan on picking one up for the dry years .
Does anyone have experience or recommendations on which ones to get or steer clear of?6

Let us know what you decide on and reasons. There were a lot of evenings last summer it would have been nice to fire up a campfire .

I picked up a Yukon legend at the Cloverdale Flea Market for $80 bucks. Basically it was brand new except for a couple small scratches..........we've used it a few times and works great, not the real thing obviously but better than nuttin when your camping.......My kid bums it all the time when she goes camping with her girl friends, probably cause their too damn lazy to cut wood when allowed the real thing, hehe.

Picked up the "Outland" fire bowl at Costco for 100$
Mostly for the crazy return policy they have.
54,000 btu . It's warm enough for a summer night.
We'll see how it does when the temps drop at night at some of the higher elevation lakes ...
