Great fight on ultra light gear

That is one fat and health bull/dolly.

Caught on an egg pattern or bead by any chance?

is it good for dollies or bull trout right now in rivers? or better in february march?

@ sam6140; Think about what the fish will be feeding on?

Pinks and chum dropped their eggs over the past 3 months, so that's what the fish will be feeding on as well as flesh patterned flies, jigs and/or egg combinations.

Depending on where about you fish you should select small beads to mimic pink eggs and large beads for the chum eggs.

So eggs are good now now until Jan-Feb transitioning into fry.

There will be Coho eggs added to the mix also and bulls/cutties will be actively feeding behind these spawning fish on some of the later flows.

Further into this year and early into next year there will be less and less eggs about, except those stirred up by big flood events, so the fish will no longer be expecting eggs but looking for fry.
