Author Topic: where to get some roe

I`ve been getting roe from that dude over a year now .
fresh roe , fresh frozen roe , salted roe , cured roe , roe sacks .

I`ve tried a few others , and I prefer this one .

He`s got pretty nice deals , and I find the roe he sells is cheaper than even at steveston fish market .

p.s. I would like to see if any more people will post their source of buying roe and stuff .. I think this might be helpful ...

Alex , I don't usually buy roe , so I can't help you there. That being said,I would bet with the good sockeye run kicking off, you should have no problem getting roe at a good price off the dock in Steveston .Buy a fish or two off a commie and ask him about saving a bit of roe for you on the next opening. When they get a big run, most of the guys just chuck the roe back in the water while dressing fish
