Hi everyone I'm looking for a good campground that offers good fishing by belly boat...my friend and I are planning a 4 day camping trip and we're wanting to hook into some nice fish! Were not wanting to travel more than 3-4 hours out of vancouver. All ideas wanted please!
Thanks mac

Rolley lake isn't much more than an hour outside of Vancouver. It's a stocked float tube lake (no motors allowed) with a nice camp site and beach area.

get up into the interior and out of the lower mainland rat-race. hit the merritt area and pick a lake, they are endless and all good, and tons where you'll never see another person. the whole chain along the kane valley are good, there's about five lakes all within minutes of each other, then a few kms up another road are the boss/davis chain of lakes, again, a few lakes all within minutes of each other. of course there will be many others in the little campgrounds by these lakes, as they are quite popular, but mostly only busy on the weekends. then there's the harmon, marquart, courteney option, but again, popular lakes that will have company. if you really want to find some even quieter lakes, head up the connector.

I was at Pennask on Sunday caught over thirty fish in about 6/7 hour, trolling a sinking line (Doc Spratly, Pumpkin head). It's nor a good lake for a belly boat. Just off 97C at Sunset main (2 hours from Chilliwack) are Reservoir, Skunk, Walker which are all real good lakes for belly boats. I've done well at all these spots

Check out Coquihalla Lakes. There is a place to camp. You don't have to stay at the lodge
