Ive been fishing deer now and again for a change of scenery and catch a ton of baby bass. I read old reports and posts on deer and burnaby lake about some bigger bass and trout but I never run into them. I have had a few bites that felt like big fish but thats about it.

Are there any adult bass? How do I get them.. I get tons of babies.

Many wild trout or just the odd one?

What about burnaby lake?

Ive been fly fishing with the regular stuff like wooly buggers and leeches. Type 6 sink and moderate sink tip lines. Tried my belly boat once too. Thought maybe the deeper parts would ring success but no luck.

Thanks

for the larger bass fish right through the weeds.ive caught fish up to 2-3 lbs in there before but they are very hard to find.ive seen bass 1-2 lbs right where (still creek?)flows out of the lake.Use weedless jigs and topwater lure around that smaller dock on the north side and cast everywhere even 2 feet from shore.

are there any adult bass? lol. nope, none. the babies make babies. you just aren't fishing the right areas, or using large enough baits maybe. they're in there, you just have to change your methods.
