Author Topic: Serpentine river

I have one question

Now the serpentine is completely closed to all fishing until the 30 of June am I right or wrong ????
I seen a guy fishing down there and he said it was still open to trout but I didn't think so

serpentine and nicomekl are closed till july 1st .

NICOMEKL RIVER 2-4 Closed all year above 208th St. (Berry Road) ; below 208th St., no fishing Apr 1-June 30

SERPENTINE RIVER 2-4 Closed all year above 168th St. at Bothwell Park
No fishing below 168th St. at Bothwell Park, Apr 1-June 30
Below 168th St. at Bothwell Park: no fishing only from 21:00 hours to 05:00 hours each day,Aug 1-Dec 31
No angling from powered boats above dyke gates

p.s. where u fish at serpentine ? my dad lives 5 minutes away from it and I never tried to fish it :D

That's what I thought

I fish it by hwy 99

Or 64th or hey 10 but I haven't fished those areas for almost a yr or so now used to have a good run of coho and spring jacks lots of cutties and rainbows to

btw lemme know if u will head to nicomekl or serpentine after july 1st , never tried fishing in those 2
of cuz if u don't mind company of a nooby

Yeah mid July to the starting of aug is the best time

springs, I would assume.

Springs do show up in August with some good cutty fishing, most coho don't show up till October unless we get lots of rain.I would rather fish the Fraser for Coho though at that time of year better chances at a hatchery and bigger fish..

You get warily runs of springs in July as well as aug and good rainbows and cutties

I wouldn't waste your time in July fished that river for almost 40 years and in July its a creek if that and I have maybe seen one or two springs cruising better chance at getting a chum..

the poeple of cloverdale think they own that river ,in fact youll see people fishing there year round , the was a guy name kevin down ther always bonking fish cause he dindt know what kinthey were till the DFO caught him,, that river has somany basss sunfish and crapppie and catfish and carp hardly any samon can make it ther e--hopfully they close the nick, serp and coquitlam river down to all fishing soon
