Hate to bitch but does anybody realize that selective methods for pinks does not include bottom bouncing with 20 ft. leaders, looking down the scales bar and all the other bouncing bars in the Hope area today you'd think they opened sockeye this weekend. Talking to some people that were out there they said that 90% of the fish being caught were sox. Sockeye only have a 5% energy reserve to make it upstream even if handled carefully when released that extra bit of stress could mean they die somewhere upstream before reaching their destination. Pinks will bite using various methods you do not have to bottom bounce for them,cmon people learnhow to fish before they close the river completly.

very good article, when catching and releasing a sockey you do take a lot of energy out of the fish...I agree flossing for pinks is a sad affair......carp

Steelyslayer, not to mention the squarehead beeks at Camp Hope. Team A and Team B are doing in runs of fish better than the FN, its an incredible sight.
