Author Topic: trout

well i am picking up a pontoon boat tomorrow and am very eager to get out, thursday is supposed to be sunny and 8 degrees, any suggestions on small lakes to hit? i was thinking about maybe grace??

I like grace a lot. Dont know about this time of year though.

Do you have the Backroads fishing mapbook? It also helps to know where abouts your are. I like deer, trout and a few other lakes in there. Smaller lakes. trout has no access by shore except for a spot to slide in with a belly or toon.

i agree there are loads of little lakes around there

yep, went out tried under kilby bridge, rigged up a bottom bar rig, no bites, tried spinners and spoons. Went to grace but it was frozen over, then i trid rolley..also no luck..didnt see one riser all day. Nice day out none the less!
