well if you try to go to these lakes during the week you should have a bush radio because there is active logging going on in these areas most the time but weekend are the safes time. ive only have a couple off the top of my head but will look at my old forestry maps and give you my little gold list /Lyntz very good lake ive seen 5 lb bows come out but i would say average 1 1/2 to 2 lbs. if your trolling use a ford fender with a black wedding band and go deep or put a trout killer on behind the ford fender willow leaf . best spot is the far end on the lake across from the camp site .there are no streams in or out of this lake it is an under ground spring so water is pretty cold most of the summer. twin lakes is just before this lake but you need to turn off a Spure road and go i think 5 or 6 km and it is on the left side of the road very easy to miss you go through the ditch and there is a small road through the trees. its a bit of a work out to fisah this on but well worth the trouble . dont fish the first on its a waste of time and you would not think there is fish there but trust me very fish and good fighting. tip pack little only bring what you really need . you go across the first lake hit shore on the other side and look the the travel people been using and pull or pack your boat across fish the far side and go deep here too . its not as deep as the other lake but is a lot deeper than you would think. hope these help for now till i find my maps. let me know how you make out .

thanks for the info. we were down that FSR and made it as a far as barton lake just before lyntz on a scouting mission. the road condition is pretty nasty also like you say lots of gravel and logging trucks seems there going 7 days a week with this pine beetle stuff. we fished shesta and clear lake in this area though with some success 2lb bows. also lots of bears right now according to someone working in the area. look forward for the "gold list" nothing like discovering new lakes. no shortage of them up here and the best part is you can be the only one on them.
thanks again for your reply

dam if you where at barton its only about 1 or 2 km to twin lakes . you could have walked in if you dont want to drive. its a good belly boat lake . in all the years i lived there i never did fish barton lake but have fished lakes that the creeks run into barton. the first spur road before barton has 2 unnamed lakes that we logged and are great for taking the kids to you cant keep the fish off. biggest on i got out of there mite be a lb but all you need to do is hang a hook over the side of the boat and you caught fish.

If you have a belly boat or ect there is a park out by cheif lake that is call eskers park . cant recall the name of the lake off hand but its one of the last ones . take you about 2 hrs to walk in but its unreal fishing brooks and bows. but the first lake is pretty good as well just head for the islands and fish around them loks a brooks .
hope you caught some lunkers
