Has anyone been fishing these rivers?? Any luck? I lnow I've been leaving them empty for a while
olie'

I have fished the Alloutte River a few times. I drove towards Pitt Lake on Harris Rd. and stopped on the 1st bridge. I think its called "south alloutte". You can park there and walk down river towards the Pitt R. or fish right under the bridge. I have caught small trout there but have seen bigger fish splash. I used spinners and worms or corn. Id fish Pitt Lake during the day and on my way home id stop at this spot, so it would be late in the day and its very calm and quiet outside. Good time to try this spot.

isn't corn an illegal bait??? do you need a penalty for unsportsman-like conduct?? tickets suck
olie'

Why would corn be an illegal bait? R U sure ur thinkn strait?
tcooke

I believe that corn used to be an illigal bait but the ban was lifted. Never used it myself.

But back to the rivers. I just wanted to know if it is just me that isn't catchin anything out there or is there no fish???
no1important

Well the Bass are probably eating all the smolts. All I ever catch there anymore are Bass, Bullheads and carp.

Ian C. here with my weekly report

Coquitlam R is teeming with steelhead right now from the Hwy7 bridge up. Get out now, only 15 days of fishing this river left before closure.
Sackoman

There's now only 6 days left. What would one use if you don't mind me asking? And what about below the bride?

Ian Cameron... BeekIan, are you getting these spawner action from your new Poco friends from the other site? You should also post the same thing on www.fishingwithrod.com to see how crowded the river gets on May 1st!
The real Steelyslayer

That aint Ian, Steelyslayer would never make a post about his beloved river. Not to mention two posts without making fun of someone from another site.

The guy is a fake with no balls!

I second that!
