Author Topic: chilliwack lake

hi all.
took the day off went up to chilliwack lake, stayed on the left side, second creek i stopped put some roe on and threw it out let it sit on the bottom. problem is-- only couple times did it hit the bottom, the dollies were just nailing the roe, great, fabulous, awesome, spectacular fishing.
Never have i seen so many dollies, fished the lake many times before and have always caught a dollie or two.
the road is is ok, ice is really starting to form on the lake only a matter of time till frozen over completly.
I live close to stave river been fishing there often go up wilson to first trailer park turn right at laundry sign park and head to the river great cutties all year but winter and spring just before the salmon hatch is good.
Good luck to you all, going to brave the cold this weekend and fish the chehalis will keep you informed.

Hey Speedy. Is there enough ice to go ice fishing there. If so what do you use? Roe, worms? Thanx.

not yet but after this cold spell i may be, i'm sure if you contact Fred's custom tackle located in chilliwack they will be able to tell you.
The ice was spotty when i was there but fishing was great, average was 18-22 inches nice fight to em. Used some sockeye roe that i had been saving for sturgeon.

That is good to know. I was ice fishing in merritt and we did quite well it was hot fishing.

Another pic

Speedy, I never fished Chilliwack Lake. As I understand this is a large and potentially windy lake, so a pontoon boat is probably not the best option (that's all I have).

It might be very helpful, if you submit an interactive fishing report for Chilliwack Lake as it is very easy to understand for someone like me, when exploring new waters catching new species

I was wondering if there is enough ice to go ice fishng on chilliwack lake?

contact fred's custom tackle, they will be able to tell you that info, I havent been back there so i don't know.
