Had a great day on the river. Caught and released four pink, two chum, and lost a nice spring. Was using bent rod jigs. Mostly purple and hot red.

Here's a pink salmon.

i know your just excited and happy you caught fish but please dont mention small low return systems on the net, report all you want just dont mention the name of the system is all i ask, attracts more people to the river.
Driftmaster

Another point Id like to bring is to stop bothering the spawners, dont catch them, dont walk thru the redds and scatter them everywhere. Ive seen quite a bit of it this year and told several people to stop doing it. Guys even running gear thru the shallows....sad .
Zap, it is a great point, the 100 guys fishing the little cloverdale area streams where you would maybe see 10 guys is a prime example. Most of them with shit for brains and no desire to release anything.

Retention should be closed on the coquitlam river, I've also noticed chum and spring numbers have been down from the last few years but theres more pinks than I remembered, havnt seen many chinooks in their usually spawning grounds this year.

First of all he is just a kid!! Second of all everyone knows about the coq river u moron stop being an ass.. Good for u kid keep posting!
Zap brannigan

very constructive post ling, you seem like a great attribute to this community.
Ling

I'm not the one discouraging a child, done with you tough guy
Zap brannigan

no discouragement anywhere, just asking not to name the river on the net.
Ling

It's a forum.... Do me a favour and run down the list of topics, find everyone that has the name of a river or lake in it and send them the same crap u sent this boy... You will be done by 2015, man I man
Zap brannigan

Really got a stick up your ass about this don't you? It's not a hard concept small high pressured low return rivers such as this one don't need the extra attention and advertisement on the web, not saying don't mention any river or lake just be selective it's on the top 10 for endangered rivers in bc.

And again in no way was I discouraging him from having fun catching fish, just a simple request.
Ling

he's a kid
Zap brannigan

Well by the sounds of it your no older.
Ling

Haha you are pathetic
Driftmaster

Ling you sound like a guy that would take that kids chum home in a bucket and eat it.
WestCoastAngler

Lol stop calling me kid guys. I'm 17 years old.. I even work at Army and Navy in the fishing department. And the fish I catch are all released.
Ling

Saw that and signed up a hole

ling, you are a new member who is in a fight in his first postings. I do not disagree with your original message, nor do I argue with the opposite side however you seem to have provoked some normally well mannered members. if you want to do this go elsewhere. if you continue you will have your privileges removed.
Ling

Wow, u got intelligent people talking about " my vagina" and I'm getting the warning?
sharphooks moderator

his post was noted but he has a past here as a useful member . if you earn that position you will be given some leeway. in the meantime prove yourself and quit looking for fights.
