Now should be good for Kokanee. Not to far from the launch should be a good bet.Gangtrolls with dick-nites,wedding bands etc. will work. They will hit flies too, just bright and flashy.
I think Mr.Grey gets out there a bit, maybe he'll offer up a bit more.

wow finally back on the forum...

Try the east side of the lake across from the boat launch, I was there 2 weeks ago and limits were easy.
if you have a downrigger use it!

If your targeting trout fish the creek mouths, Kokanee feed on plankton and it all depends on the water temp and where the plankton are ( for kokes). Check out some of Brian Chans fishing for Kokanee techniques on YouTube, really good info

Ive been out at allouette a few times this year, start trolling at the boat launch and troll at least 100 feet away from shore on the north side (to avoid deadheads) towards gold creek to the north east (where there filming Rise of the Planet of the Apes right now) Ive had good luck there with a fast sinking fly line with a black leetch, and a kokanee lake troll with a wedding band or pink flat fish on my downrigger. When your trolling north east you will eventually run into gold creek, where you can find some trout hanging out just be careful around that area theres lots of deadheads and closer to the creek theres rocks just under the water surface and it gets shallow fast.
Good luck, and Tight Lines. James
