group of us went fishing at thalia last year, early june. We're headed back this year at the end of may. I was the only one of the group that caught anything, I caught 6 rainbows ranging from 16" to 22" trolling using a watermelon apex.

any tips on this lake? recent reports? there was a wash-out on the old train tracks that we used to drive into the area. Anyone know if that has been fixed, or is now easier to get around?

Yeah, thats what i'd like to know, is that washout worse? We got around it with a jeep and a truck with small trailer last year, going with just the 4x4 truck/trailer this year

Just got back from that area.Although we didn't head in to Thalia,we did come in off the 5a and fished Goose. We then went out the other way through Brookmere to the Coquihalla.
There was only 1 mudhole near Goose that I put it into 4X.Lot's of trees down that have been bucked off at the edge of the road, but if you own a chain saw, bring it just in case.
I'll be heading back to the area next wknd.Where was the washout? If it's not too far out of the way I'll check it out.

We took the coldwater exit off of the coq (exit 256 i think) and head south to brookmere. Just after the town there is a fork in the road heading north or south, go north and right there at the fork is where the brookmere road crosses the old rail tracks (kettle valley rail), which have been taken out. Drive along the tracks to coalmont rd - saves about an hour of driving rather than staying on the brookmere rd. on the old tracks is where the washout was. Since its just 4x4's using this now im doubtful that it has been repaired, just wanted to know the state of it, since we're taking a trailer, it would be very hard to turn around on the tracks, even with dis-connecting the trailer (got a long truck)

And yes we're bringing a chainsaw

This is where the kvr joins to coalmont rd
