Author Topic: Vedder report 10/6

I do not know how to post a fishing report, so post here.

Wow, what's a beautiful fishing day. When we drive to the vedder, it was raining pretty hard. The water level would increase and more fish would move in. Our first pot was railway bridge, started from 7:30, 10 people were already there, while no fish in the land. Since it is crowded, so we decided to move up. We reached boundary hole at 8:00, only 4 or 5 people there. We setup equipment quickly, and first 3 castings, fish on! My 15 pound leader broken. The biting continues until 1:00PM, then not that much biting. Everybody got hits more than 10 times, we four people managed to land 3 adult and 2 jack spring. A lot of fish were jumping, they looked like cohos, while none was landed. The color trick was darker in the morning, while lighter when sun came out. To my surprise, DH red works fine, while yarn, pink all works! The only trick is casting to the relative slow water, and keeping the wool close to the bottom. I lost a whole bag of pencil weight in the whole day while have a lot of fun. Almost every people left with fish.

Tight your line even you are a newbie, it is time for the season again.
