Get a bag of fish treats. Go to alloutte river. (don't trespass, ,cause the old man with the shot gun is around all the time) Find some fish, and sneak up on them and make a floating trail of fish treats up to a fish landing net. When the fish goes for the last treats, scoop up fish. If it is a hatchery fish, and you are allowed to keep it, then you have a fish.

I am totally serious about this. Those fish are really weird.

in my opinion its too far to go for so little action. theres no fishery support for thr river and lake which is too bad. try pitt river it has better results.

To far to go I live like 3 minutes away from the river. I have caught a nice 14 inch rainbow trout in there but thats all. And there is a fish hatchery on alloute lake they stock it every year.

Hey, el-nino, I've tried the Pitt River so much and haven't had any luck with trout? Whats your secret? I've been to the mouth of the slough, widgen creek, and by the islands in the lake. Nowhere seems to work.
Any suggestions??

i fished the pittriver(not lake) last spring around april may and i caught 2- 4lb dolly varden and some pike minnow. all using pink cured roe right on the bottom. this is just near the pitt river bridge. the allouette river is just really tough to fish.i fished it 2 years ago and never got one bite after 7 hours of fishing....threw everything at them too!

Thanks, I'll give the Pitt one more chance. As for the Alouette, I had my hand on a 15lb chum before it ran and snapped my 6lb line. It's not bad there you just have to explore the river alot. I've been there countless times and last wed was my first byte. Its nice and close too.

the pitt should start to become productive soon . the allouette is good fishing in the spring, down below 216th.minnow patterns have done the trick for me.there are some big fish in there including some real big suckers
