Topic: Access to Butzen Lake (North or South) |

Been fishing on BUtzen Lake on a rubber dingy boat with a friend. Very good fishing... caught about 10 rainbow trout and cutthroats... and that's 2 days in a row...
The only problem is thatthe damn thing closes at 8:30 PM... is there another access to the lake other then the official park? If you can access it - can you stay there past 8:30?
Any info on this plus any driving directions would be greatly appreciated.

sorry dude... not really any other access unless you want to walk about a Km. you could park at the store i guess and walk down...

When and how were you fishing? I trolled Buntzen in my dingey with with good results on a cloudy day at the end of June (4 trout trolling from one end of the lake to the other). The water was still cold at that time. Took another trip at the end of July on a rainy day but the water was very warm and I was skunked. A wedding band and Mepps Black Fury worked like charm the first time out.
