Hey, Kenyon sucks for fishing. I've been there, and there probably is fish in there, but they are hard. If your in Mission, hit Rolley or Sayres. Stay away from Hayward. Kenyon is very beautiful though, with quiet wilderness suroundings and a little island you can camp on in the middle to the right. Anyways, tight lines!

Fished Kenyon twice. Tried every thing. No luck!!! :-( Seems like it should be a good lake.????

With the cooler weather this last week, I was thinking about giving Kenyon a try...I've driven up to it a couple of times, but never put my tube in....If that one doesn't do, there is always Salsbury lake... a little lower, and the last time I was there, I was getting a ton of hits.

The only problem of this beautiful lake is that it is ... dead.
pH factor is around 4.0 and trout cannot reproduce if pH factor is below 5.0. The only time when fishing might work is 2-3 weeks after a new stock will be dumped into this lake.
Salsbury lake is a sure bet if you are going to this area. But you may wish to visit Kenyon lake just for the scenery and a fun road (it is easy to get lost).

Well, I tried Salsbury on Saturday....very soggy day, and I had the lake all to myself....caught a few 6-8 inchers...but nothing else.....talked to a guy on the way oout who said he has only ever caught little ones there..anyone else ever caught something to brag about.....

All I caught was 6-8 inchers too, using split shot and a worm. Salsbury is great for kids, but no big ones
