Another awesome day on Fraser. Commercial fishing was over on Friday and new fish is certainly coming - four rods and 8 fish in couple hours - not bad for Saturday!
Make sure you are casting far enough. Read the other thread on sockeye fishing for details.
Also, there was not a lot of fishermen. I guess the early morning rain spooked people And it was a very nice weather actually.

Freddy! You don't want to see what is going there when it is really crowded on a weekend
That what happens, when a lot of great spots are Indian Reserves and when government limits the fishing season to just couple weeks
It's like pessimist and optimist call the same glass of water "half empty" and "half full" - you can use this crowd to your benefit. Sockeye fishing is harvesting and this is probably the best fish for your table.
So, when there are soooo many people, they will all spook the fish to a greater distance. You can use it to your advantage if you know how to cast further then the rest of the crowd. If you know what you are doing you will get your two fish in 10-15 minutes (while your neighbours already spent 4-5 hours there).

Hi guys! My buddy have been on Scale bar last Sunday and hooked up 9 socks. Seems like a lot of fish reached this place after commercial fishing was stopped at the end of the last week. Or maybe Fraser has lost a couple illegal nets

Been on Johnsons Slough Mouth Bar yesterday evening. Very slow fishing. My buddy and I haven't caught anything. I've seen only 2 springs were caught on the whole bar.
And there were a lot of commercial fishing boats in Fraser close to Surrey and Langley. Looks like they intercept most of the fish.
