was by there yesterday. river is in horrible condition. nothing but low water and kids float tubing down the whole stretch. no fishing for a while and it will get worse as water level keeps dropping.

low water....deep hole along the dyke is dried up.

Man, is it dry. EN, have you tried fly fishing for some of the trout in there? ( young steelhead)

hey do you know if your allowed to ride a dirtbike on the dyke because when i go coho fishing i would like to find spots along the dyke because i cant drive yet.
bug pumper

I don't think so. But you could ride a bike.

Hey, where is this place? I would love to hit it on a fly, especialy if its got young Steelies in it.
Fishin is bad medicine

yep right now vedder has lots of small trout, steelhead smolts that are about 6inches Lots of them too. I remember in spring time there was lots of bigger ones with normal sizes about 14 inches. good luck

well BP..any fishing is really tough with all the kids float tubing constantly downstream along the main stretch pretty much from tamahi all the way to lickman road. i have seen ATV's and dirt bikes along the keith wilson dyke all the time to answer the other question.

I took the fly rod with me on my first few Red spring trips in early July. I had a lot of fun with trout around 6 to 12 inches. I've made a few really small colorado blades that I cast on the fly rod. I think September will be fun because you can enjoy catch and release with the trout but also hook into the first early Coho.
