I took a trip to Ocean Falls this weekend, and the fishing was incredible.
I limited out on Salmon both days (Sat/Sun) before noon and took Cutties out of the lake above the town. The Pinks and Chums were in, with the odd Coho and Spring (and yellow-eye). I didn't know Chum fight so hard. Try landing a 25lb Chum in the ocean in a 50lb canoe! For a while it was double headers on Pinks one after another.

Also, I fished in Tweedsmuir Park, spincasting and casting flys in the river (my first time) and caught over 15 trout, and one salmon (which I think was small chum - on a blade) within 3 hours of fishing. Every i tried worked, and I had to change a few times because I was breaking them off (I had a 1lb leader).
It was my first time I caught trout fly-casting in a river, the largest one was about 2lb and there were lots around 14". I think that anyone that really knew what they were doing could have brought in a lot more.
Its a long drive, but if you want to catch fish, its a great trip.

Whoa!, where is this Place. I got to hit it up on the fly. Is it Float-tube waters? I love flyfishing for salmon. You should try Pt. Roberts for sea-run cuttys. I got a spot i know about you can bass for them on the dry flies. Reply.

Its about a 10 hour drive.
You can float tube in the lake for cutties, but its a Big lake.
You need a boat on the salt, you have to go a fair distance down to the end of the inlet to get to where the salmon are.
However, the locals told me that in September/October the bay fills up with coho.
Tweedsmuir park has a bunch of lakes, but I only fished this one river in a few places, and couldn't go wrong. I was told that river fills with Pinks, then Chum, then Coho as the year goes on.
I'm planning a trip back the weekend after next and I'll post a report on how it went.

Hey, What do you use there? Like what flies. Please put a detailed report when you return. This place sounds killer.

-Tight lines!
