I’ve been thinking about planning a group bus tour across Europe with my friends, and I really want to choose routes with the best views. I’ve heard that the drive through the Swiss Alps is absolutely stunning, especially near Interlaken. But I’m not sure how to combine scenic routes with major cities like Munich or Amsterdam. Has anyone done a tour like this before? I’m looking for suggestions on which routes have the best landscapes, maybe with lakes, mountains, or charming villages along the way.

I did a similar trip last summer, and the route from Munich to Venice through the Alps was unforgettable. The mountain views were incredible, especially when you get those panoramic views from the bus. We booked the trip with coach hire Cologne and they helped us plan the route. They even suggested extra scenic stops along the way for photos and short walks. If you want to see lakes, I’d recommend including Lake Como in Italy. It’s a bit of a detour, but 100% worth it for the views.

I haven’t done a group bus tour like this, but I once took a train ride through the Swiss Alps, and I can confirm it’s breathtaking. I imagine a bus ride would be similar, but with more flexibility to stop and take pictures. It’s a great way to see multiple cities without the stress of driving yourself. I’d definitely suggest looking for routes that include at least one stop near a big lake or a famous mountain pass.
